A pink sapphire is sent to TULAB today, and many xenocrystals are found under microscope. Inclusion study is an important tool for origin determination of gemstones. The crystal inclusion appears as hexagonal prism; TULAB gemologists analyze the crystals with micro-raman and finally confirmed the crystals to be apatite. With consideration of all gemological characteristics, we think the stone is not heated and is from Sri Lanka origin.
